Brigid Maher is a media-maker and tenure-track assistant professor in the Film and Media Arts Division in the School of Communication at American University, Washington, DC.  In 2005, she taught as a Fubright Senior Scholar in Lebanon.  Her work focuses on issues of personal and cultural identity.  She has directed international production in the U.S. and the Middle East.
